Clinical Study of TRH(Hirtonyl^(¢ç)) Effect on Disturbed Consciousness in Patients with Brain Injury

Abstract

|
Authors analysed TRH(Histonyl¢ç) effect on disturbed consciousness in 40 brain-injured patients that
were divided into a TRH-treated group of 20 patients and a control group of 20 patients.
The results were as follows: 1. With TRH treatment, consciousness improved significantly. .
2. TRH effect was more in patients with mild to moderate disturbed consciousness than in those with
severe disturbed consciousness.
3. There was conspicuous TRH effect on calling or greeting, volition, attitude and attention, but a little effect on spontaneous speech or movement, quality of voice and orientation to season. 4. There was no significant side effect or abnormal laboratory finding due to TRH treatment.
